Describes the effects of supplementing 6 mo of motor training of a severely mentally retarded 9-yr-old girl with 20 mo of further training. Training effects were assessed with videotaped records, behavioral observation, and photographs of the S’s posture. As a result of additional training, the frequency of inappropriate behaviors decreased further, duration of eye contact began to increase, and improvement was noted in interpersonal behavior, eating behavior, playing, motor control, and posture.
